The rumblings around the league are that quarterback Matthew Stafford's private workout for the Detroit Lions today went extremely well. Stafford is said to have thrown the ball much better than he did during his pro day workout for all NFL scouts earlier this month. The Georgia product may have increased the chances that he'll be the Lions' pick with the top overall choice in the NFL draft.

Wide receiver Torry Holt is scheduled to visit the Tennessee Titans on Thursday, according to the Tennessean. Holt has been a free agent since being released by the St. Louis Rams. He reportedly also has drawn interest from the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Safety Kerry Rhodes is not a fan of Denver quarterback Jay Cutler, and he again made that clear Thursday when he spoke with the media.

The Broncos' running back situation didn't get much clearer through the first weeks of free agency. If anything, the situation is more muddled than before.
