Anderson Named Browns’ Starter
UPDATED (12:32 p.m.)... The Cleveland Browns have made a starting quarterback switch, with Brady Quinn being benched in favor of Derek Anderson. Coach Eric Mangini announced Wednesday that Anderson will start this weekend against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Browns are winless and Mangini benched Quinn during last Sunday's loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Anderson threw three interceptions in his relief appearance, but now gets his chance as the starter. Quinn and Anderson competed for the starting job entering the season. Mangini had vowed to stick with whichever quarterback he chose as the starter, but now is making a switch after only three games. Mangini announced his pick this time.
