Bengals Place Utecht on IR
The Cincinnati Bengals placed tight end Ben Utecht on the injured reserve list because of a concussion. The move makes Utecht ineligible to play for the Bengals this season. Also, quarterback Carson Palmer participated in portions of the Bengals' practice Monday. According to the Bengals' Web site, Palmer participated in some throwing drills but did not participate in full team drills. Coach Marvin Lewis left open the possibility of Palmer, who's been plagued by a sprained ankle, playing in this week's preseason finale, according to the team's Web site.
