Brady Expects to Play in Preseason Games

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady said Friday that he expects to play in preseason games as he works his way back from the knee injury that he suffered in the opening game of last season. "I think I'll play," Brady said, according to a transcript provided by the Patriots. "... I think it's really important for a quarterback to be out there playing. If you're the leader of the offense, you've got to be out there leading in the preseason and in practices. I'm excited for those games because I think we can make improvements in those games." Brady has been practicing with a brace on his surgically repaired left knee. He said he doesn't think about the brace while he's playing and shrugged off the notion that it's restricting him. "Have I gone from slow to slower? That's possible," Brady said. "But that doesn't matter most."
