Bucs Trade TE Smith to Pats

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers traded tight end Alex Smith to the New England Patriots, both teams announced. The Buccaneers received an undisclosed draft pick next year. Smith had 21 catches for 250 yards and three touchdowns in 14 games, including 12 starts, last season for the Buccaneers. He is a veteran of four NFL seasons and has totaled 129 catches.
