Chiefs Oust Gailey as O-Coordinator
The Kansas City Chiefs have dismissed Chan Gailey as their offensive coordinator, the team announced Monday. The Chiefs announced that Gailey "has been relieved of his duties as offensive coordinator" and Gailey's status with the club will be addressed later Monday by Coach Todd Haley. Haley was the offensive coordinator of the Arizona Cardinals before being hired in the offseason as the Chiefs' head coach. The Chiefs have struggled on offense during the preseason. The shakeup of the coaching staff comes with quarterback Matt Cassel sidelined by a knee injury that reportedly could keep him out of the lineup in the regular season opener.
