Colts lead at half

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla.--The Indianapolis Colts got a touchdown pass by quarterback Peyton Manning and lead the New Orleans Saints, 10-6, at halftime of the Super Bowl. The Colts got a field goal by kicker Matt Stover and a 19-yard touchdown pass from Manning to wide receiver Pierre Garcon to race to 10-0 lead. But the Saints pulled back into contention on a pair of second-quarter field goals by kicker Garrett Hartley, from 46 and 44 yards. The second of those came as time expired in the first half. The Colts stopped the Saints on a fourth-down run from the 1-yard line in between the two field goals. Saints Coach Sean Payton left his offense on the field for the fourth-down gamble, and opted not to have quarterback Drew Brees throw the ball.
