Eagles add Marlin Jackson

Free agent cornerback and safety Marlin Jackson agreed to a two-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles, the club announced. Jackson had been scheduled to visit the New York Jets later in the day. Instead, he completed a deal with the Eagles before completing his visit to Philadelphia. "They've won each and every year," Jackson said, according to the Eagles' Web site. "Andy Reid has done a great job. You look at the roster, they have a top quarterback in the league. They have a great offensive line. They have weapons on offense. They generate great pass rush. They have defensive backs already here. They have all the pieces that are already needed to win a championship."
