Fisher: Coaches would adjust to practice restrictions
INDIANAPOLIS--Tennessee Titans Coach Jeff Fisher said that he and other NFL coaches will adjust if the league curtails teams' offseason practices and limits hitting between players in some practices during training camp and the regular season. The prospective measures are being discussed as another possible step to try to reduce the risk of players suffering concussions. "Coaches have one thing in mind and that's to win," Fisher, the co-chairman of the NFL's competition committee, said Friday at the scouting combine. "But we don't want to injure our players." On Titans-related matters, Fisher said that Vince Young will be the team's starting quarterback next season. He also said that the club would like to re-sign Kevin Mawae as a backup.
