Raiders release Walker, Ellis
The Oakland Raiders released wide receiver Javon Walker and defensive end Greg Ellis. The team listed the moves on the transactions section of its Web site. Walker had only 15 catches in two seasons with the Raiders after being signed to a six-year, $55 million contract as a free agent. Ellis played one season for the Raiders and had seven sacks in 14 games. The moves come after the club released veteran running back Justin Fargas over the weekend.
