Rams add Robbins
The St. Louis Rams signed defensive tackle Fred Robbins, the club announced. Robbins was an unrestricted free agent. He'd spent the last six seasons with the New York Giants. The deal reunites him with Rams Coach Steve Spagnuolo, formerly the Giants' defensive coordinator. "I am very happy we were able to get this deal done with Fred," Spagnuolo said, according to the Rams' Web site. "He is a player I am familiar with and he is a veteran who has been very productive on some very good defenses. He will add leadership to our defense and depth to the defensive tackle position."
