Saints Cut Hollis Thomas
The Saints have released defensive tackle Hollis Thomas, his agent told the New Orleans Times-Picayune. Thomas spent three seasons with the Saints after being obtained in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles. The Saints released him last season but re-signed him after he recovered from a triceps injury. The move comes on the heels of the Saints releasing another defensive tackle, Brian Young, leaving the team with some depth issues at the position behind starters Kendrick Clancy and Sedrick Ellis. The Times-Picayune reported that the Saints will have to rely on recently signed veteran Rod Coleman and untested young player DeMario Pressley as backups at the spot.
